Actually, as of today, it is 199 days! Time is flying by, but not fast enough :)
The past two weeks have been unbelievably busy, but fun, too. We closed on the house, started painting immediately, and moving in furniture. and clothes. and books. and knitting supplies. and painting supplies. and lots of shoes. We haven't even started moving the majority of Justin's stuff yet! Oh well, it will happen eventually :)
Lately, I have spent many hours over at The Nester's. I love her and all her cute little ideas. I am also jealous of the time she has at home every day with her adorable little boys doing crafts and taking lots of photos. She inspires me to have fun and design on my impulses in my new house. As a "professional" interior designer, I tell other people what to paint and what furniture to buy everyday, but when it comes to my own house, it makes me feel all nervous and pukey. Like it is a life or death decision. I've even broken a sweat over it at one point. (stop laughing at me... or "hate me." as The Nester would say) Anyways - We have successfully painted two rooms. 1) the Master Bedrooms. Sherwin William's "Contented". Soft, relaxing, perfect. 2) The Living Room. Valspar "Barnwood", but color matched in SW paint. A little darker than we expected, but yummy against the white trim and hardwood floors. Here are some before photos - I don't have afters yet.......

.......master bedroom again......
... and the living room.
I am trying to convince Justin, to let me paint the kitchen cabinets black. More on that later...
Wedding plans are coming along just dandy. I made the decisions for the "medium height" reception centerpieces today. Of course, they will require some handiwork and elbow grease of my own, but they will be beautiful, therefore it is OK. Does anyone have any good tips for cutting foam into circular shapes? eek.
